Best locations for a maternity session in Kansas City….

Let’s be honest here for a moment, Kansas City is one of the most special places to live in the country. It’s a literal hidden gem placed right in the middle of fly over country, and those of us that are lucky enough to call Kansas City HOME feel like we’ve won the lottery.

As a photographer, I get asked all the time about locations for family and maternity sessions. And in my professional opinion, KC has a literal smorgasbord of beautiful spots to choose from. One of my favorites is downtown Kansas City because of the architecture and views. Options are plentiful, even if it’s a session done during the colder winter months.

This gorgeous mom, envisioned the twinkling lights of downtown for her session right before Christmas. With a little brainstorming, we chose Crown Plaza with its hustling and bustling of the holiday season but also filled with all the lights! It was the perfect back drop for Kate and her husband to have this special moment captured before their sweet baby boy arrives.
