There is nothing sweeter than photographing a precious newborn…

it really is one of my greatest joys. Capturing the moments and joy between a family is priceless.

I was so excited when Yesenia reached out about a newborn session for her daughter. They recently moved here from Texas after her husband was excepted into medical school at KU, and she mentioned when she reached out, that her daughter would be around eight weeks at the time of their session. I assured her not to worry at all that, sometimes it’s just as wonderful waiting a few extra weeks because babies can typically stay up a little bit longer and they don’t need to feed as often. Also, mom’s have had time to recover more fully and feel a little bit more ready to be photographed. Let me tell you we got some precious images.

Before their session, I provided them with a questionnaire to get to know a little bit more about them as a family, and then I also prepped them about what to wear. I know often times that can be a big stressor for new moms, so providing a client closet simplifies the process. Yesenia took advantage of my client closet for moms and babies and looked absolutely stunning.

Julianna was an absolute angel for her session. At eight weeks she was so smiley and made tons of eye contact as well as giving us lots of coos. The love that these three share is so evident, and I can just feel the adoration that they have for their sweet baby girl.
